🎮 How to play

  • Download the game unzip it and run the Space Wolves.exe (only for windows);
  • This is a local multiplayer versus game;
  • The field is a 3 wide per 6 long cells board (3 columns per 6 rows);
  • Player 1 starts on the left side of the field (blue side), Player 2 on the right side (red side);
  • Each player starts with 5 Wolf Cadet cards;
  • Each player can only place or move a Wolf Cadet per turn;
  • On your turn click on any cell from the first row of your side of the field to set a Wolf Cadet;
  • On your turn click on any of your own Wolf Cadets to move them forwards;
  • When two opponent wolves are adjacent to each other in the same column of the field they have to battle;
  • The player who last moved to an adjacent cell is the attacker, so they have to roll a dice;
  • Then the other player rolls a dice;
  • Compare both dice values, the higher value wins the battle;
  • The player who won the battle gains the right to make a move, then they can move a wolf or place another;
  • The first player who reaches the other side of the field wins the match;

🤣 Fun facts

  • We took the randomness (of rolling a die) as our philosophy for developing this game;
  • Many aspects of this game were randomly decided by rolling virtual dice
    • Mood: Serious or Comic (we rolled a 2 sided virtual dice, and the result was Comic);
    • Character’s animal: (we rolled a 5 sided virtual dice and got Wolf);
  • This was the first Game Jam we worked together and reached a completion status good enough for the game to be played and released;
  • We had fun playing our own game when it was done:
  • The blue wolf character's name is Wolfgang, the red one is Amadeus;
